Teen empowers younger students

UEHS Sophomore and current Miss Thousand Islands’ Outstanding Teen Colleen Denmon and the traveled to Sam Frieser’s third-grade class at TJW to promote her platform, “Different Doesn’t Mean Inferior: Embrace, Empower, Energize.”
 

 

 

 
Colleen’s presentation includes fun games and interactive conversation about being unique, what makes us unique and how to embrace, empower and energize the uniqueness in us and our friends. The Miss Thousand Island organization teaches the girls to give back to their community through their chosen platform. Colleen presents her platform to students and youth organizations as a way to help younger students learn the value of themselves.
