Students see private showing of Black Panther

Thanks to the generosity of the U-E community, students had the opportunity to see the newest Marvel Comic movie, “Black Panther.”
Members of UEHS The Squad, JFS Boys to Men and Kelli Krieger’s students traveled to AMC Theaters to see the film.
Krieger took 55 students and parents to a private screening of the movie thanks to DonorsChoose, the Carnegie Foundation, and a generous community donor.

Kyle Wolf, UEHS Squad adviser and Chris Murdock, JFS Boys to Men adviser, raised funds so they could take members of these groups to see a private screening of the movie. The groups took part in the #BlackPantherChallenge, an opportunity for members to see this film, written, directed and starring people of color. Chadwick Boseman, who plays the Black Panther, and Frederick Josephs, started the campaign and donations to Wolf’s gofundme page funded the trip.
A goal of the Squad is for our young men to see people of color in successful careers.
A big thanks to everyone who made this possible for our U-E Tigers.
