With cold weather comes harvest time and students in the GFJ Garden Club were out in their garden last month to reap the rewards of gardening.
It was a bumper crop this year, harvesting celery, kale, peppers, tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, and even a few pumpkins with their favorite being the carrots.
Students gathered to taste the fruits of the garden, enjoying a baked potato bar, butternut squash casserole, and lots of raw veggies. Thank you to the watering and weeding helpers, who spent time during the summer working in the garden.
The Garden Club extends a big thanks to the GFJ PTA which supports this building-wide after-school program.
