Staff participate in work session
UE staff, during a work session, learned about disproportionality from staff from NYU and its Technical Assistance Center on Disproportionality (TAC-D).
NYU staff presented different areas of this matter including how to address beyond compliance, incorporating culturally responsive education into practices and policies, and ensure equitable outcomes for all students.
Through a phased approach, the work session talked about school support, readiness, root causes, implementation, evaluations, measures and long term plans.
TAC-D’s mission is to build the capacity of educators to implement Culturally Responsive Equity- Based Systems that meet the needs of all students and families.
