Science experiments engage students

Making ice cream and paper
BU Liberty Partnerships partnered with Cornell University sophomore Jamie Lu for "Paper Making and Winter Science" experiments.
Jamie, a biology major worked with the Liberty students on the process taken to recycle old paper and make new paper.

The next experiment was making homemade ice cream using dry ice. For many students this was the first time they had seen how dry ice works. Jamie’s final experiment included the use of dry ice, soap and hot water and what happens when the three elements meet.

Inviting Jamie to meet with students was just one way to expose them to the sciences and introducing them to a student who will be pursuing a career in that field.

Liberty Partnerships thanks Jaime for coming to UEHS to facilitate these activities and UEHS for allowing the partnership to work with students.
