New National Honor Society members inducted

Induction into the National Honor Society is an exemplary achievement for high school juniors and seniors. Like so many events and ceremonies this school year, the traditional candle lighting and reciting the pledge in front of family and friends could not be held.

UEHS NHS adviser Tom Mullins and building leaders felt it was important to hold some sort of recognition. So, instead of being in the auditorium, this year’s inductees received their certificates outside at the high school with the opportunity to take photos. Arriving at intervals, students received their certificate, were congratulated by building leaders, and then took photos.

While the format of the ceremony was different, the honor of being accepted into the NHS remains the same. Congratulations to our 51 UEHS Tigers who were inducted as new members!
