Kindergarten Jumpstart kicked-off this week as our newest Tiger Cubs visited their elementary schools. As in years past, students toured the building and met teachers and other staff.
Students worked briefly with teachers on letters and numbers, went through the cafeteria, saw the playground, went to the gym, and got their new Chromebooks as part of the 1:1 technology initiative.
There were some obvious differences this year. Instead of four days on site – students/families had an appointment for one a morning during the week.
Students also learned about using hand sanitizers, walking in the halls along the new tiger paws that are spaced six feet apart, and how the virtual days will work, which included meeting teachers via their Chromebooks.
Thank you to all the staff who helped make Kindergarten Jumpstart a success!
