Food Bank produce box information

Over the last few years, the district has participated in the Food Bank Backpack program.
Throughout the year, approximately 130 students, each week, receive food for the weekend. During long breaks, the students receive additional food bags.
New this year, the Food Bank is also providing a monthly 20 lb. box of fresh produce. Since these boxes are too large and heavy for students to take home, the transportation department offered up its buses and drivers to personally deliver these boxes. The produce will be delivered once a month through the entire school year.
To learn more about the Food Bank monthly initiative, please contact our U-E Food Bank Coordinator at [email protected] or call 658-7131. The Produce Boxes are a monthly initiative that is for our families registered for the weekly Food Bank BackPack program.

Thank you to the FoodBank, U-E facilities/operations, and the transportation department for their work and efforts in making this possible. It is teamwork such as this that helps continue community and collaboration. #WeAreinThisTogether #TigerPride.
