U-E Tech Integrators Heather MacQueen, Elyse Wilson, and Elizabeth Scalcione recently presented in a live
ZOOM at the annual New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education) NYSCATE Conference. More than 35 educators from across the state attended the session
Their presentation, "Google Classroom with a Twist: The Google Tech Hub" discussed the U-E Tech Hub that was developed last spring to help educators in the shift to remote learning.
The hub is a Google Classroom for U-E educators that provides instructional technology help and resources. Educators can ask a pool of tech integrators and IT specialists tech-related questions in a live discussion stream. It is also a warehouse for resources, guides, and professional development that staff can access as they navigate remote learning and new technology.
The presenters said, "This is a living document, resource, and collaborative tool that we have been using since the spring closure. U-E Tech is at the forefront of 21st-century skills in which students sit on the cusp demanding what education requires today for college and career readiness."
U-E has Tech Integrators at each of its seven buildings to help support making every Tiger "Tech Terrific!"
