Tiger Ventures STEAM students along with teacher Nick Greco have been busy working on their indoor garden.
Greco and his students planted lettuce a couple of weeks ago and two trays produced approximately 3 lbs. with a total of 5 lbs. of leafy greens!
Also making their way into the world are some cucumbers and radishes.
Students plant in succession the next week’s produce, ensuring the cafeteria has a weekly harvest. Included with the lettuce and veggies are hydroponic herbs such as dill, sage, basil, parsley, and more.
Greco and his STEAM class collaborate with community partner 2445 Organics in starting and growing their new indoor garden. Stay tuned for more pictures and progress.
