At the beginning of the school year, CFJ kindergarten students in Kristin Lemon-Hoyt’s class were paired up with reading buddies from Casee Guasconi's 5th-grade class. Throughout the year, these classes have met to read books, play games, and do other classroom activities together.
One such activity was celebrating Dr. Seuss week. After learning about the author and some of his famous stories, they ended the week by making hats and reading various Dr. Seuss books and other favorite stories.
Coming together to read and do activities is something both groups of students really look forward to and is a great way to build a community of learners at CFJ.
