As part of their very important transition to high school, JFS eighth-grade students traveled to UEHS to get their first look at the building they will attend for the next four years.
Hosted by UEHS student leaders, the eighth graders attended a question-and-answer session and toured the building.
Questions ranged from what types of classes can students take, how to navigate the building, and what types of activities there are to choose from. UEHS students talked about getting involved, managing time, and encouraging them to not worry about the size of the building.
Eighth graders met guidance and main office staff and talked with building leaders about expectations.
Outside of alleviating any apprehension about freshmen year, the visit provided upperclassmen the opportunity to showcase their building and set the right tone for the incoming freshmen who will represent UEHS. Thank you to JFS and UEHS guidance departments for coordinating this visit and to the UEHS student leaders for taking the time to work with the younger students.
