Unity student leaders donate food

UEHS students in the 4-H UNITY (Urban Neighborhoods Improved Through Youth) collected over 10 boxes full of canned goods and non-perishable items to be donated to the U-E Family Support Center (FSC.)

Unity Teen Leaders hosted a Food Drive at the U-E District Office to help support the in-house food pantry located in the FSC. For the last three years, UNITY Teen Leaders have hosted a food drive, including one during the start of COVID-19, to support local food insecurity. Many of our student leaders expressed concern for those in the community with limited resources and were shocked at the prevalence of food insecurity in their very own community! Special thanks to UE Police Department for their continued support!"

UNITY is committed to working to change the spaces where we live, work, and go to school by using the power of youth voices and minds. These students recognize that many in our community need support and access to services. This is just one example of how they support our community.
Thank you to Asia Ambler, program educator, Cornell Cooperative Extension, for your time in advising and working with UNITY.
