Professional Application Procedures

Please read the information below carefully prior to beginning your application. 
 
All applications for professional and administrative positions must be submitted electronically through the Union-Endicott Website. Paper applications are no longer accepted. Please do not send any applications or materials to the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent. The application process takes approximately 30-45 minutes. At this time you do not have the capability to save and return to finish your application, so you should make sure to set aside the appropriate amount of time to complete your application in its entirety.

At the end of the application you are required to attach electronic copies of supporting documentation. You should prepare these documents before you begin your application. You can attach as many documents as necessary, however documents submitted may not be larger than 5MB. The following are required to complete your application:

• Letter of Interest  (Please indicate in your letter of interest if your confidential references are being mailed separately or if you have confidential references on file with our office that need to be attached to your application.)

• Resume

• Copies of transcripts from all colleges/universities that you have attended, including undergraduate and transfer credits. (Official or Unofficial)

• 3 signed Letters of Reference- One reference must be from someone who has supervised your work. Newly certified teachers must provide references from student teaching supervisors and cooperating teachers or administrators who have observed your work.

If your references are confidential, please indicate in your letter of interest that they will be sent to UE separately. All other documents should be submitted electronically. The references will be scanned and added to your application. We will maintain an electronic copy for use in subsequent applications. However, it is the applicant’s responsibility to indicate in your letter of interest that you currently have the confidential references on file in our office.

Be sure to review your application prior to entering the validation code and clicking on “Submit” as you will not have the opportunity to make any changes afterwards. After you have clicked on “submit” you will see a confirmation that your application was received below.  You will then have an opportunity to print a copy of your application. 

If you do not receive further communication regarding the position you applied for in 3-4 weeks after the closing date for applications, you may assume that you have not been selected as a finalist. The volume of applications that are received does not allow us to send further notifications regarding your status.

Applicant's Statement
I understand that my employment will be on a probationary (or per diem) basis until notified otherwise and that my employment may be terminated with or without cause at any time, at either my option or that of the school district during my probationary period, and upon such notice as the law may require. I understand that during the term of probationary service, my employment is “at will." I understand that only the Board of Education of the Union-Endicott Central School District is authorized to offer me employment and I understand that no school district representative has any authority to enter into an agreement to the contrary. I give the school district permission to contact all or any of my previous employers and references and authorize them to provide all information requested of them by the school district.
After a tentative offer of employment has been made, if requested by the school district, I agree to take a job related medical examination at no expense to me and authorize the examining physician to disclose the findings to the school district. I further understand that any offer of employment is conditioned upon receipt of satisfactory references and satisfactory completion of such job related medical examination and approval by the Board of Education. I have provided truthful and complete responses to all inquiries in the application and understand that the discovery of any falsification or omission constitutes a ground for immediate dismissal. If employed, I will abide by the school district’s rules and regulations which I understand are subject to change by the school district at any time.
