The mission of the Union-Endicott School community is to develop students who are responsible, self-directed, involved, lifelong learners. The students, staff, parents, and community encourage learners to develop a deeper understanding of self, a respect for others and an understanding of their place in the world community. We need your help to ensure that your student succeeds during their time at UE.

The new UEHS Diversity Café is open. Beginning last week, UEHS English teacher Kelli Krieger, along with the help of UEHS teachers Julie Heeter, Vanessa Doane, and Steve Tibensky, hosted several lunches for students, staff, and district and building leaders.

Festival of Learning at GFJ

Staff and students were recognized at the regular BOE meeting held at UEHS.

UE alums talk about Diversity Cafe

Shortly after the winter break, UEHS English teacher Kelli Krieger hosted Lunch with Kriegs, an opportunity for students to meet during lunch and discuss a specific topic relating to students at the high school. The first lunch of the year focused on the Diversity Cafe.

The district is finalizing the initial plans for the new Tiger Park, which will be located between UEHS and the District Office.

Food Center Hours

The U-E Food Center hours are Wednesdays 5-7:30 p.m. Thursdays 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Fridays 12-3 p.m.

The new Ty Cobb Stadium Bleachers opened to our Tiger fans on September 30 for the first home football game.

Broome County Back to School update

Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters are available to students, facility, and staff for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.

The Broome County Health Department is holding a Covid Vax Clinic Thursday, August 25 from 1-4 p.m. for school-aged children to get 1st & 2nd doses, along with boosters. The clinic is located at the Broome County Health Department, 225 Front St, Binghamton.

District moving forward with collaboration, community

Thanks for Giving Harvest Fest a hit

U-E hosted its first ‘Thanks for Giving Harvest Festival’ Saturday. Hundreds of U-E families and students attended this fun-filled afternoon with the goal of bringing the community together.

Tiger Ventures has been busy with a business and marketing plan for “The Market at Tiger Ventures.”

After-school child program

The YMCA has after-school childcare at AGM and TJW, 2:30-6 p.m.

School-age child care available

The Southern Tier Community Center (STCC) school-age child care registration is open for children in kindergarten to age 12.

Crossing guard needed

The Town of Union is hiring for a crossing guard at Dickson Street and Grippen Avenue. Hours are 7:50 to 8:30 a.m. and 2:50 to 3:30 p.m. Pay: $12 per hour. Contact Mary Bricker at 786-2950.

Soccer bottle/can drive

U-E Soccer program is having a bottle/can drive from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on August 28. They will collect your bagged bottles/cans. Email [email protected] or text 607-727-9875 to arrange for pickup.

Junior builds bat houses for project

One UEHS student combined his passion for nature and his pride in being a U-E Tiger and developed an Eagle Scout project to benefit the environment around his former elementary school. Junior Joshua Monforte wanted to educate others about the importance of bats in our environment.
