Program Overview:
Union-Endicott’s Medical Pathways organization is made up of high achieving students interested in careers in the health industry. Through seminars, field trips, shadowing experiences and internships, students have hands on opportunities to explore medical professions and college programs. The program is flexible to meet students’ varied interests. Students have explored careers in the fields of medicine, dentistry, veterinary, pharmacy, nursing and physical therapy.

Who Should Get Involved? Honor roll students who are motivated and career-focused with a specific interest to pursue studies in a medical or health care profession at the collegiate level. Program Acceptance Guidelines - Overall cumulative GPA guideline of 90
- Satisfactorily completes essay explaining program interest
- Recommendation of guidance counselor
The Application Process Students interested in applying to the Medical Pathways program should: 1. Request an application from guidance or download one on the right hand side of the page. 2. Complete the application, write a one-two page essay explaining your interest in the program and get a parental/guardian signature. 3. Return completed application. 4. The student’s guidance counselor will be asked to provide grade information and complete recommendation forms 5. Applications including the student’s essay, grade information and counselor recommendation are reviewed by the UEHS school principal, Mr. DiStefano. 6. Students are notified by letter of their acceptance status. |
