Lauren was a 2002 graduate of Union-Endicott High School who touched our hearts, our minds and our spirits. Her unquenchable exuberance for life was evident in her music, athletics and good works and was an inspiration to all of us. She lived her life as a beautiful song and moved through our lives as an energetic wind. The soul of her, the glowing gorgeous, fervent soul of her, will never be forgotten.
On October 4, 2003 while returning home from the State University of New York at Fredonia where she was studying Music Education Lauren crossed the finish line on her earthly life and is now center stage with an audience of angels.
While a student at Union-Endicott Lauren participated in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, which included the lead role of Maria in the musical production of "The Sound of Music" as well as many other roles over the years. She was in the U-E Chorale, Jazz Choir, and was selected to the NYSSMA All-State Chorus. Lauren was instrumental in leading the Cross-Country team to STAC and Section IV Championships and possessed strong leadership in Track and Field. She was also a member of the National Honor Society, Church Youth Group and Choir and President of Serteen.
This scholarship is awarded annually to a member of the senior class who mirrors Lauren's competitive spirit who is also a member of Cross-Country, Track Team or involved in Music.
