Earn FOUR college credits before you graduate from High School!!! This class is offered concurrently through Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, NY. Students DO NOT have to attend Tompkins Cortland Community College in order to utilize this credit. This class and the credits are transferable to most colleges.
The objective of this course is to introduce students to the world of Accounting by explaining its relevance in society and cover the basic principles of double entry Accounting for a business. Students will learn introductory entries, adjusting entries, and how to prepare and understand financial statements. While the course is designed to show the role of the Accountant in a business, attention is given to other end users of Accounting information and why it is relevant for them to understand the Accounting process.
