French culture highlighted at JFS

Before the school year ended, UEHS students Bryan Tran, Meg Tremblay and Aly Kosteva visited seventh- and eighth-grade French classes at JFS to talk about the French Exchange program UEHS offers students who will be taking French.

The students in Teresa Marion and Susan Thornton’s French classes learned that the two-week program immerses students in the French language and culture, which includes trips to beautiful cities and towns, such as St-Jean-de-Luz, Arcachon, Bordeaux, and Paris.

The program gives students the opportunity to live with a host family, go to the host student’s school, understand the significance of each place they visit, and create wonderful friendships.

“The French language is just so beautiful and the culture is absolutely classy,” Senior Bryan Tran said. “So my hope is for all of our students to experience a trip of a lifetime someday.” Vive le Français!
