UEHS students traveled to Italy
In April, UEHS Italian Exchange students traveled to Italy to meet with their Italian friends and tour the country.

(Thank you to Gabriella Majka who put together the photos and presentation.)
On this journey they saw the historical landmarks in Rome, Florence and Venice, and enjoyed the small town of Bolzano. They spent about five days in the Italian schools, having personalized Italian classes and getting the opportunity to see how different the education system is. After the school day the students toured Bolzano and experienced the wonderful taste of gelato.
Next, students visited the Otzi museum to see the world’s most preserved mummy. Over the next couple of days the students traveled to Austria, Renon (a village on the top of the mountains), with many lakes. Easter was spent with their host families, and the American students got to experience how Italy celebrates Easter.
After Easter, they traveled to Venice where they rode gondolas and toured this well known, historical city. Next stop was Florence where students went to several different museums and gardens.
Their final stop was Rome where they visited many historical landmarks including the Vatican.
The trip was an educational success and our UE students look forward to their Italian friends coming here in October.
