Famous pop, rock violinist Andrea Di Cesare recently visited UEHS and JFS to play for students and talk about his career as a professional musician and a teacher.

He played a number of songs and was accompanied by BU Italian Professor Dana Stewart.
Originally from Rome, he lives and work in Milan teaching and playing the violin. Di Cesare, virtuoso of the instrument, is known and appreciated not only in Europe, but also in the United States for his style of "One Man Band" and his idea of evolution / revolution of the violin through technology.
If you would like to see Di Cesare and Stewart perform in person, they will be playing Friday, December 7, Italian Night at First Friday, BU Downtown Center with an Italian-themed open mic at 6 p.m., followed by featured concert with Di Cesare and DJ Kyra at about 7 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Department of Romance Languages and the Harpur College Dean's Office at Binghamton University.
