Students participate in workshop

Students working on poetry
Each year, UEHS students put their creative writing skills to work during poetry workshops conducted as part of a partnership between the district and Binghamotn University.

Macaulay Glynn, Ph.D. candidate in English at Binghamton University, ran poetry workshops for high school students during the months of October and November as part of the Binghamton Poetry Project. The Binghamton Poetry Project is a community outreach program initiated by The Binghamton Center for Writers that provides workshops for poets of all ages. The partnership between UECSD and the Binghamton University Creative Writing Department began three years ago. Each fall and spring instructors from BU come to the high school to share their knowledge and love of poetry with our students.

Thank you to English teacher Dante Di Stefano for coordinating this opportunity.
