2013 Founder's Day Dinner |
 |
 |
 |
 |
This year the PTA will honor Eric Schrader and Holly Mayer at the Founder's Day dinner.
|
Honoree: Eric Schrader
Eric, a fourth grade teacher goes above and beyond to make the learning environment for his students, safe, rewarding, and most importantly, memorable. He has also volunteered for many activities outside of the work day, which have benefitted the student body at T.J. Watson. His countless hours of dedication have certainly enriched the lives of all students attending T.J. Watson.
|
|
Honoree: Holly Mayer
When the position was unable to be filled, Holly, a T. J. Watson parent, left her treasure position behind and stepped up to the role of President of the PTA. She is a well known figure at many of our PTA functions as well as volunteering during the school day. From chairing Book Fair, Movie Night, Summer Carnival and the many Pot Luck dinners, to name a few. Holly is always willing to give her time to enrich the lives of the reason we are here, the children of T.J.Watson.

We have Tiger Pride!

What does it mean to have pride?
Pride is having a feeling of self-respect and personal worth. It can also be satisfaction or pleasure taken in one's own or another's success or achievements.
We celebrate individual successes and collective successes at TJ Watson!
We acknowledge the pride we have in a variety of ways:
-
We give praise and encouragement.
-
We have "Bucket Fillers" recognized.
-
We have "Tigers of the Day".
-
We have "Spirit Days" throughout the year.
-
We have an Awards Assembly each quarter.
-
We have regular communication with home through classroom newsletters, etc.
-
We share various happenings within our classrooms and school with our families and on the UE Website.
-
We reward our children with PTA sponsored events including Playground Potluck, Movie Nights, Princess Ball, Summer Challenge, Autumn Night, Art Show/Ice Cream Social, etc.
