This year's Jump Rope for Heart was an amazing success! George F. Johnson Elementary Students brought in $3,390 for the American Heart Association. Together with the rest of the Union Endicott Schols, $6,000 total was raised! Great job UE! 52 students from GFJ participated and Mrs. Sullivan's 3rd grade class had the most participants (11 students). We are so proud of our kids! |

Hello GFJ Families!
The winter cold has arrived! Please make sure that your children are bundled up so that when we do have recess outside, they are able to participate. Students should have gloves or mittens and hats along with warm winter coats. We keep students on the blacktop during this very cold weather as the playground equipment can become icy.
Every day we make decisions about whether to have recess indoors or outdoors based on many factors including temperature, precipitation, wind chill factor and iciness of the pavement. Safety is our number one priority when making the decision. I hope you get the opportunity to enjoy some outdoor activities with your family! |
