We are looking for host families for the 16 Chinese exchange students and their teachers who will be visiting the US and our district July 17-22, 2013.

Over those five days, hosting students, Chinese students and teachers will visit Endicott, Cornell University, and Destiny USA in Syracuse. Our host families will be invited to participate in some welcoming and concluding activities. The cost of most of these activities will be covered with grant money.

The families who host this summer will be given preference in the application process to send their high school student to China in the summer, most likely July of 2014.

UE Italian Exchange Booster Club ...The UE Italian Exchange Booster Club will hold a fundraiser  on Friday, May 17 from 11-5 with Ozzie's Brisket in front of the former Pat Mitchell's Ice Cream building. For $10 you get either brisket, pulled pork, or pulled chicken with two sides and corn bread. Drinks will also be available. A portion of the sales will go to benefit the Italian Exchange.

UE Marching Band Fundraiser ...The UE Marching Band will host a Moe's All You Can Eat fundraiser at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 17. The cost is $10 at the door.

UE Alumni Lacrosse Game/Fundraiser ....The UE boys lacrosse program will hold their seventh annual Lakieben Brown Alumni Lacrosse Game at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 at Ty Cobb Stadium. This game is held annually to raise money for the Lakieben Brown scholarship fund. To date, over $8,000 has been given to lacrosse graduates.

The game fee is $40, which covers the cost of a t-shirt and refreshments after the game. Extra equipment will be available the day of the game. For more information, please email UE boys lacrosse coach Jon Stank at jstank@uek12.org.

UE Step Team Car Wash ...the UE Step Team will hold  a car wash fundraiser in the UEHS parking lot from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 8.

UE Cheerleading Booster Club Garden Flags available ...The UE Cheerleading Booster Club once again has garden flags available for sale. Each flag costs $10. For more information, please email Sue Reif at sreif@uek12.org.

TENNIS: The UE Girls Tennis Program will offer a free tennis clinic for UE girls grades 4-6 on Saturday, May 18 at the UEHS Tennis Courts. The clinic will run from 11-1 p.m. (Registration at 10:30 a.m.) Contact coach Ashley Constantine at Jennie F. Snapp (757-2156) with any questions or see the attached flyer.

SOCCER: The UE boys and girls soccer programs will once again hold a combined summer camp this year for boys and girls in grades 3-6. The players must be UE students. The camp will run from 8-10 a.m. on June 24-27 at Ann G. McGuinness. The cost is $50 per camper, which includes a shirt.

A girls only camp for UE students in grades 7-12 will run from 10:30-12:30 on June 24-28 at AGM. The cost is also $50 per camper. Please see the attached flyers for more information.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: The UE girls basketball program will hold a camp for girls in grades 3-9 at the UE High School June 25-28. The cost is $60 and includes a t-shirt. Registration is due by June 14. Please see the attached flyer.

BOYS BASKETBALL: The UE boys basketball program will hold a skills camp for UE students in grades 4-12 July 8-11 in the UE High School Gymnasium. The cost is $50 per camper and registration is due June 12. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

The new Community Connections Center is a collaboration between Union-Endicott Central School District and Catholic Charities of Broome County.

The center, in the basement of the District Office at 1100 East Main St. in Endicott, offers free counseling and support for our students/families. Please check out the attached brochure for more information.
