Moving forward...2015 Capital Project
The 2015 Capital Project is moving forward in the coming months. Please view its progress by clicking on the newsletters to the right.
Thank you UE!
We are very happy to announce that our community passed the proposed capital project voted on by residents on December 8, 2015.

73 percent of the voters said yes to Proposition 1 (yes votes = 296, no votes = 108), which is the actual capital project and 76 percent of the voters said yes to Proposition 2 (yes votes = 308, no votes = 94), which establishes a new capital reserve.
This means that we can move forward with renovations to buildings, including secure vestibules, playgrounds, as well as many other enhancements and necessary work.

This project, approved by the Board of Education at its October 13, 2015 meeting, follows a year of planning by the Facilities Board Advisory Team comprised of board members, teachers, administrators, parents and community members. The Facilities team reviewed the mandated Building Condition Survey, which brought the most necessary upgrades to the board’s attention, and made recommendations accordingly.

This project will address various needs such as facility, technology and safety improvements in the buildings. The district timed the project to allow for “no tax impact” on the community. Retiring prior capital debt, combined with state building aid, Smart Schools Bond Act funds and the use of capital reserves will allow the district to complete necessary improvements on our facilities.
