What is Promise Zone??
Promise Zone is a university assisted program through Binghamton University where Community School Coordinators (Stephanie Quaranta at Jennie F. Snapp) work within specific Broome County schools to bring community resources, schools and families together. Part of that university assisted model is that interns from BU run programming for students and families while they learn how the school system works!
The goal is to develop the community school model where the school is
the center of the community. Taking small steps to get there!
Promise Zone sites: Union-Endicott, Johnson City, Binghamton, Whitney Point, Lee Barta Community Center, Windsor, BOCES... and we're growing!
